Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA)
The Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) is a voluntary non-profit association that represents operators of retirement residences in Ontario. For 35 years, ORCA has set the standard for operational excellence through its longstanding accreditation program and its leadership in retirement living education. ORCA represents more than 80 per cent of the retirement home sector in Ontario with members providing accommodations and services to more than 38,000 seniors. ORCA’s membership also includes 270 commercial members who provide products and services to retirement communities.

Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority
The Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority regulates, educates, oversees and enforces the regulations and care standards established by government for the increased protection of seniors in retirement homes across the province. To assist potential residents and families in making informed decisions, the RHRA also maintains a Public Register ( about retirement homes and the services they offer.
