The Town of Milton in the Halton Region of Ontario is located at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, off Highway 401, about 40 kilometres west of downtown Toronto. Because of its proximity to Toronto and the beauty of the area, Milton is a well-visited tourist destination for both day trips and longer visits, with more than 1.5 million visitors each year.

For the outdoor enthusiasts there are many parks & trails which are great for biking and leisurely strolls. In the summer months it serves as a great location for water sports and golfing. Residents and visitors enjoy the many festivals and farm fresh produce available at local farms or the Farmer’s Market.  There are heritage properties and a beautiful historic downtown area.

The Town of Milton is Ontario’s fastest growing community with close to 100,000 residents. The population has more than doubled in the last 7 years. With the great location and scenic area, it is not surprising that over 11% of Milton’s residents are seniors.
