Ability to demonstrate care in use of supplies and equipment, and the ability to maintain neat work area. Ability to work independently. Must be level headed and calm in emergencies.

Completion of a Criminal Record check and Vulnerable Persons check. Valid TB test completion. CPR and First Aid. Experience in Activation and/orRestorative Programming. Previous experience working in Long Term Care with seniors. Recognizes and abides by the Resident’s Bill of Rights. Experience planning, implementing and evaluating programs. Excellent written and verbal communicate skills, organization skills, computer skills (ActPro/PCC) Knowledgeable of MOH standards, Inspection Protocols, and applicable Ontario Legislation pertaining to Long Term Care. Respectful or residents and families wishes and decisions. Continually updating on innovative recreation resources available.
